Tahoe Yacht Club Foundation was founded in 1994 from a group of Tahoe Yacht Club members as a Philanthropic organization. The purpose of the Tahoe Yacht Club Foundation is to host the annual Lake Tahoe Concours d'Elegance and Wooden Boat Week; and to raise charitable funds for donation to projects and non profit organizations in the Lake Tahoe Community that enhance expertise and understanding of maritime skills. Since 1994 the Lake Tahoe Concours d'Elegance has become the premier wooden boat show in North America, and TYCF has raised and donated more than $200,000 to local groups and projects.
Mission Statement:
"The Tahoe Yacht Club Foundation, TYCF, is exclusively focused upon pursuing projects which provide educational and charitable opportunities originating in the Lake Tahoe area that enhance expertise or understanding of maritime skills."
About The Tahoe Yacht Club
Tahoe Yacht Club, a private membership club founded in 1925, ranks among the oldest boating associations in the West. Added to its 18-week summer program of Laser and keel boat regattas is a series of "Over-The-Bottom" rallies and cruises for power boats. Off the water, the Club's Tahoe City lakefront location is the setting for a full 12-month calender of social events including wine tastings, a speaker series, holiday parties, and apres ski potlucks for the Club's winter "Penguin" ski group. For more information, please visit their website at www.tahoeyc.com or call the clubhouse at (530) 581-4700
